Tips InMail

Follow these guidelines to write a compelling InMail and to improve your response rate :

Choose wisely

Look for what interests your interlocutor and start the conversation with an advantage. You only have a certain number of InMails each month, which is why we recommend optimizing the quality of your message.

Customize it

Read the profiles of prospects and look for commonalities with you in interests, connections, or professional experiences. Use this information to craft a truly personalized InMail that speaks to them.

Write a captivating subject line

Capture attention by including a professional subject and/or a personal touch in the subject line.

Star a discussion

Use InMail to initiate the conversation and to build a relationship. Gauge the situation and then explain your solution in person or over the phone.

Be concise

More than half of InMails are read on a mobile device. You will get more responses if your personalized message contains fewer than 150 words.

Add a call-to-action

InMail is meant to start the conversation, not to close a sale. InMail is meant to open the door: 'Are you available on Thursday at 10 AM for a 15-minute phone call ?
